The beautiful 8-acre meadow, set aside as part of the conservation easement, is the perfect place to get together with friends and family.
Autumn is always a fun time in the mountains. Traditionally, a time to reflect on the productive season of summer and be thankful for the colorful harvest.
Embrace your creative side carving pumpkins.
Enjoy a cup of hot cider with friends, listen to some mountain music, and dream about the soft snows of winter soon to come.
Fishing
Fishing is a favorite activity in the mountains.
The Preserve at Rock Creek has two stocked ponds where residents can relax and practice making the perfect cast.
You can also fish Rock Creek, which weaves its way through the property. You'll find it is a great place to test that new dry fly or nymph. Fly fishing is considered an art in the mountains. So plan on getting lots of practice.
The chilly mountain water supports several different species of trout. Favorite artificial baits are spinners, flies, nymphs, and small crank baits.
Cashiers' Best Hiking
Trails 
One of the most enjoyable amenities of The Preserve at Rock Creek is the private hiking trail that winds its way along Rock Creek to the Falls. You can enjoy hiking this beautiful trail anytime, at your leisure. It is well maintained and full of new discoveries every day in every season. Explore the heart of Rock Creek surrounded by the sounds and scenes of this truly beautiful, natural environment. This area is part of our protected forest and will never be developed. The best in Cashiers hiking will always be there for you to enjoy.

Biking
Biking is permitted on the property. The roads are paved and biking is a great way to become familiar with the property. Some of the grades are steeper than others. We encourage you to practice safe biking and wear your helmet.
