We are privileged to host several homes designed by Mountainworks, Ltd., a custom home design firm located in the surrounding Cashiers area. The Rock Mountain Cottage and several other homes at the Preserve were skillfully designed by Mountainworks to both echo their natural surroundings and to create harmony between man and nature.
It is no surprise then that many of the homes designed by Mountainworks have won national awards, including a top honors American Residential Design Award (ARDA) in the Model Home category for our very own Rock Mountain Cottage, built by Apple Construction. In addition, Mountainworks has been featured in a number of quality magazines which highlight the superior craftsmanship of the company.
Among the highly-skilled team at Mountainworks is Travis Mileti, president of the company and a 20-year specialist in designing custom homes in the mountain and lake communities of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Travis specializes in creating "mountainesque" homes by using antique logs and lumber and many old world styles throughout his designs. Each home's design is based on topography, view orientation, solar influence, and the desires and lifestyle of the home owner, making each home its own custom creation. And, of course, homes are always created using only the finest techniques and building materials (locally sourced where available).

With more than two decades of construction experience in the mountains of N.C., David Reese, of David Reese Construction, Inc. has developed a keen eye for what makes a mountain house something to be proud of and call home.
David has had the privilege to work with Timothy Bright on a number of construction projects in Preserve at Rock Creek and continues a close relationship with him, his staff, and current property owners. Previously, David served as general manager of Apple Construction Co. and is proud to have had the opportunity to oversee the construction of the award-winning Rock Mountain Cottage designed by Travis Mileti of Mountainworks, Ltd. and Ridgeline Estate designed by Allen Brown. Through his own company, David Reese Construction, Inc., he built Sunrise Cottage which was designed by Travis Mileti. Reese has also built and remodeled homes, remodeled the clubhouse twice, and constructed a large multi-use facility for the Burlingame Country Club.
Having been involved with many construction projects over the years, David has built relationships with many clients, designers, decorators, architects and skilled tradesmen to help give the prospective homeowner the attention, quality workmanship, and project management they desire and deserve. Whether that desire is for a small rustic cabin or a large classic modern house, he has the experience and love of the business to deliver a home to be proud of.

John Lehotsky, President of Lehotsky and Sons, is an unlimited licensed General Contractor in Cashiers, North Carolina with over 25 years experience. He has been constructing custom-built masterpiece homes in the Cashiers area for the past 16 years.
Because of changing market conditions, remodeling and upgrading have become greatly important within the past two years. As such, John and his team are fully prepared to update any existing home.
They also offer property management services in order to give piece of mind to owners during an absence. These services include making regular/seasonal visits, winterization and opening homes prior to arrival.
